Plesion

Plesion is a Greek word, meaning ‘neighbour’. In the parable of the Good Samaritan, the question is asked: “Who is my neighbour?” The point of the parable is that the question should be: “To whom can I be a neighbour?” For example, when a child is abused, the question shouldn’t be whether we are supposed to help the child.
